​​IES is primarily engaged as a turn key geophysics contract company. We also subcontract and partner with large national and international geophysics companies, work as 'in house' crews and we often train Client and Government employees how to properly conduct geophysical surveys for themselves.
IES was the primary geophysical contractor for Hudbay Minerals from 2009-2014. During this time IES engaged up to 50 personnel and gathered over 300,000 meters of borehole EM and 1000 kilometers of surface EM.​


Downhole EM surveys are used to help locate conductive targets that may have been missed by a drill-hole. They are also useful for mine development and production applications to define the boundaries and size of conductive ore zones.

SMARTx4 Geophysical Transmitter: SMARTx4 is EMIT’s next-generation quality EM transmitter system for reliable, efficient and safe operation.

DigiAtlantis: DigiAtlantis is a unique, GPS-synchronized, 3-component borehole fluxgate magnetometer system for EM, MMR and magnetic surveys. Data for all 3 components is simultaneously sent digitally to the surface on standard cable making it the fastest borehole EM system on the market.

IES uses Maxwell software to process and interpret EM data. Maxwell is industry-standard for dealing with EM geophysical data whether it is time-domain, frequency-domain, ground or borehole.
